Testing the performance and shelf life of explosive-filled components is crucial in defense product development. Norms such as tropical exposure and Intensified Standard Alternating Trials (ISAT) are used for this purpose, and our custom-designed Climatic Chamber is specifically built to conduct these tests efficiently. With a capacity of 7,200 liters, the chamber can perform both ISAT (A) and ISAT (B) tests, which involve alternating between temperature, humidity, and ambient conditions (including condensation), with a weekly dry heat element to simulate tropical desert conditions.
The chamber features a monoblock construction with an outer layer primed with phosphate and a RAL 7035 epoxy-based electrostatic powder coating for an aesthetic look. The exterior surface is highly wear-resistant, while the interior is made of pre-polished stainless steel (1.2 mm thick) AISI-304 with a reinforced bottom floor to withstand heavy loads. Approximately 150mm of PUF insulation is provided between the cell-wall and the outer housing. A large observation window, illuminated by a lamp, provides a clear view of the test space. The chamber also features explosion-proof fittings to meet IP55 regulations, ensuring impermeability and thermal isolation. Double-construction sealing rings made of silicon rubber, mounted on a thermal breaker strip, ensure complete sealing and zero conduction from the test space to the exterior.
The chamber's performance is evident in its uniform air and temperature distribution, while its humidity range allows testing according to many of the latest test standards. Although ISAT was originally designed for ordnance ammunition and small arms reliability testing, it now plays a significant role in rocket component testing, especially in rocket motors. It has been particularly valuable in testing igniter designs due to the potentially adverse effects of moisture on igniter compositions.

The communication which used is MODBUS RTU protocol, which is an international standard for communication in process instrumentation and automation. Necessary changes to be made in the user’s software to communicate this in MODBUS RTU universal protocol. This feature can be used manual mode only.

Enhanced with modular controller integrating multi-zone PID control and data acquisition. SIMATIC programmable logic controller. Touch screen controller, PLC and other controller components are of a generic make with an OEM software. Free software upgrades up to one year.
Memory
SD card of 2GB memory will store all the test program data and also the diagnostic data. This card is accessible by USB and Ethernet.

Programs
99 independent programs can be stored with name and number.
